Accreditation Support Funding Opportunity Coming Soon

  

With funding from the Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NACCHO is pleased to announce that it will soon be offering a second round of funding through the Accreditation Support Initiative

Approximately 15-20 awards of up to $40,000 each will be provided. This opportunity will be open to all public health departments (local, state, territorial, and Tribal) and organizations that assist local/Tribal health departments (i.e., states, SACCHOs, Public Health Institutes) to support activities that will assist in moving the health department(s) toward accreditation application.  

Applicants may apply under one or more of the following four categories:
1)    Addressing standards, measures, or unmet PHAB requirements, 
2)    Contributing to payment of PHAB accreditation fees, 
3)    Completing other readiness activities, and/or
4)    Providing technical assistance to health departments. 

Full details and the application template will be announced in next week's accreditNATIONnewsletter. Agencies may begin preparing now by identifying objectives and activities for their efforts, as applications will be due Friday, September 28, 2012

**Before applying, agencies are encouraged to review NACCHO's standard contract template. NACCHO is unable to modify contract terms; agencies should apply for the Accreditation Support Initiative only if they can accept these contract terms.
