Leveraging Partnerships to Promote Tobacco Prevention and Control at the State, Local, and Tribal Levels
This webinar, presented by the National Association of Local Boards of Health (NALBOH), was designed for board of health members and other public health professionals advocating for tobacco use prevention and control. Presenters focused on how they have leveraged partnerships within their state to advance specific tobacco programming. Presenters in Utah focused on how state and local health department tobacco prevention staff worked for 18 months to jointly redefine relationships and a statewide strategic plan for tobacco prevention and control. The presentation from Oklahoma highlighted lessons learned on building a strong partnership between a tribal nation, a local tobacco control program, and the state health department to address tobacco issues.
