10	Northern Plains Health Promotion Programs The Northern Plains Health Promotion (NPHP) Programs are designed to encourage Native Americans to take preventive measures to adopt healthier lifestyles. NPHP uses a comprehensive, systematic, coordinated approach to affecting long-term health behavior change by influencing the community (cultural) norms through education, best practices and evidence-based strategies.	27
